Co-creation For The Community
BioMarin, previously unknown to the achondroplasia (a genetic bone growth disorder that leads to short-limbed dwarfism) community, aimed to establish itself as a supportive resource for families affected by the disorder. Through multiple workgroups and strategic partnerships involving parents, we gathered insights to create an unbranded awareness campaign, "In the Know." This initiative led to educational content for parents of newly diagnosed or young children, adults living with achondroplasia, and the advocacy community to help them feel prepared and supported along their journey. The resulting website not only demonstrated our knowledge of their experience, but also solidified BioMarin's role as a trusted ally.
